We have furnished & stocked your vacation rental with things we think make every day better…dark roasted whole bean coffee, a well provisioned bar for your craft cocktails creations, cozy organic cotton robes, toiletries so you don’t HAVE to bring your own, comfy throws & pillows for curling on couches, a washer & dryer, plants to make you smile, a bluetooth speaker for dinner-making-dancing & touches that, we hope, will help you feel like you won’t want to leave.
kitchen
Ohhh, the kitchen…as you can see, you will have everything you need. Our favorite whole bean Carrabassett coffee, a selection of Numi teas, a Nutribullet for your morning smoothie, spices for creating your own meals. Our 5-burner gas range also has a convection oven if you get super creative & decide to start baking. An array of high quality pots, pans & utensils will please your inner chef. There is a BBQ for summertime grilling on the porch. Counters in abundance with comfy stools to share meals or plug in the laptop for an afternoon of working from home (please don’t do too much of this!). Our water is provided by a private well, it’s delicious, we promise! The refrigerator has an interior water dispenser as well as an ice maker. Yes, we have a dishwasher…and a microwave…and a milk frother…and SHARP knives….so. much. happiness…
bar
We realize the bar is not technically separate from the kitchen but we thought it deserved its own space here. Glassware…a full array of bar tools…mixology books…pint glasses in the freezer. Locally made bitters from Vena’s Fizz House and Owl & Whale will help take your bevies to a whole new level. We provide a bowl of fresh citrus to start you off because, really, no one wants to arrive after a day of traveling & realize they forgot the limes! If you would like some of krista’s spicy bloody mary mix, please let us know. Please be sure to bring your own beer, wine & alcohol as we cannot provide those. Clearly, we tend to wax poetic about the bar, but if you would prefer, we will happily remove these accoutrements for the duration of your stay.
linens, bed & bath
Lovely, sumptuous bed linens? Cozy Coyuchi organic cotton robes for coffee drinking on the deck? Fluffy, absorbent bath towels? Yup…all that. The bedroom has darkening shades but we suggest you leave the bedroom door open to wake up to the sunrise over the hills…it really will start your day right. The closet has plenty of hangers & a set of shelves for folded items. Our funky bathroom has everything needed…we provide Public Goods toiletries if you need them…we know sometimes things get forgotten at home, or you just want to travel lighter…forgot your toothbrush? We’ve got you. The washer & dryer are yours to use & we have a supply of tru-earth laundry strips. The bathroom door is an antique Indian carved sliding door that doesn’t quite close like a normal tight door…we say this only because….well….if it’s your first weekend away with a new mate…ahemm…you’ll know each other even better after your stay here.

A couple of chairs to curl up in…a couch to nap on in the sunshine..plenty of throws to wrap yourself in wherever you land…games for two…books to wander through…candles (ok, they’re flame-less) to set the mood by…We have filled this house with antique rugs, some funky old carved furniture, soooo many plants, little knick-knacks because we can’t help ourselves…all the things we want in our own home to feel like we could hunker down for the long haul. The deck in summer & fall will have comfy seating, as will the porch. The gardens will, hopefully, be in abundance. We think you will be delightfully content…right. here.
