A few years back, I decided to build a garage. You know, people do that. But….I thought if I build a structure, why not put a simple apartment above it, for one of the kids, for the parents, for guests, for myself at downsizing time…Of course, in the progress, it just grew a mind of its own & became what it is today. My best friend/carpenter is always patient with my “visions” & he made this lovely place happen, sometimes with tantrums on my part when he would calmly say “ummm…NO.” I think we did a pretty amazing job at sorting it out! Traveling is in my bones & nothing makes me happier than showing up to a new vacation rental…this place is all the things i have loved…or would have loved to have in those rentals past & future.

I adore where we live, I love our community, the close proximity to Portland & North Conway…but being far enough away to always know you’re in the country. The coyotes howling up & down the valley, the eagles perched in the tall trees over the pasture, the fox barking at my dogs for having the audacity to venture too close to her den, owls hooting mating songs across hillsides….We think it’s a special place & we hope, that during your stay, you do as well.
